Case Study / Motion Graphics & Digital Signage

Brand Motion.
At Scale.

Video and motion graphics for The Hartford’s trade-show displays, New York Stock Exchange screens, and stadium LED signage. One brand, experienced across very different environments.

Motion in
the Environment.

Installation photography shows how screen content becomes part of a larger brand experience. My work focused on the video components within these environments, collaborating as part of The Hartford’s creative team.

One Brand.
Multiple Formats.

For The Hartford’s NYSE brand-refresh event, I created and adapted animated content for HD screens and a narrow vertical LED display. These original video files show the screen content itself.

Product Alley HD Screens

Brand messaging and animated visual elements composed for a conventional HD screen format.

1920 × 1080 / 24 seconds

Board Room Anteroom Screens

A longer brand animation balancing messaging, typography, and pacing across the screen sequence.

Exterior Window LED Display

Photography, messaging, and brand elements adapted for a narrow vertical canvas. The format required its own composition and movement to make effective use of the available screen space.

Built for
the Long View.

The Atlanta Braves outfield bullpen signage uses an ultra-wide LED canvas. Its extreme proportions call for a focused composition and clear brand recognition.

Still from the original screen content, shown at its native aspect ratio. The red was adjusted from the standard brand value after testing on the stadium LED display so it would appear accurate in the installed environment.

The Approach

Design for
the Display.

Start with the canvas.

These projects called for more than placing a standard video into a new frame. I adapted layouts and animation to suit the display, from conventional HD to a narrow vertical screen and a stadium format more than fourteen times wider than it is tall.

Keep the message clear.

Typography, visual hierarchy, timing, and movement all shape how a message reads on screen. I adjusted those elements while maintaining The Hartford’s visual identity across the different executions.

Connect content to context.

The work demonstrates how video production and motion design extend into physical brand environments, with content tailored to the screen where it will be experienced.

Contribution & credit
My role covered the video and motion-graphics components shown here. Booth architecture, fabrication, lighting, static signage, and overall installation were contributions of the broader project teams. Produced as part of The Hartford’s in-house creative team.
